Alot of the people in the community know alot more about building houses than we do. We sometimes leave tools and left-over wood to these people.Originally posted by Accompong:

We buy the materials from lumber yards in Jamaica and we pay for them with the money we raised.Originally posted by SistahD:

We visit homes for the aged and for abused and abandoned children. We also renovate schools and other buildings.
We went to Marigold, which is a home for abused and abandoned children. It was very difficult because the conditions are not even near anything we would see here in Canada. It was a small house with approximately 50 children and 4 ladies per shift to take care of all of them. Because of the lack of help, some of the children are left dirty and alone for a large part of the day. The children are in need of alot of attention, and it is very difficult to leave at the end of the day.Comment
