have u had any dialogue with the young lady who now runs the family distribution company in jamaica that brings in most of the books, magazines....she is very into homegrown authors,namely the Caribbean, and has committed to using her outlet to help in anyway....Colin works with her....she has the whole caribbean market in terms of distribution....i emailed u so look out for it...i do need to read ur other books as the Lovers' Leap is the only one I have read and this has been quite some years ....

I don't see St. Elizabeth people any more special than say a Manchesterian or Hanoverian. One thing I can say though is they work very hard, very hard. They are honest and friendly.

Of course I would use a Rastaman or woman for a main character. One of the good things about a discussion like this is the fact that I'm getting so many ideas as we talk. This is something certainly worthy of thinking about. TXS

I did hear about thast lady. In fact, I think I might have even met her, if she's the same person I'm think about.
My publisher is the one who handles distribution. However, in the case of Lover's Leap andn Port Royal, which In have now taken over, I have them on amazon and barnesandnoble and a couple others, and do quite okay with them. Some distributors charge managament fees, storage fees on top of their 10% and sometimes it's not worth it.
I have come a long way and the good thing is readers are now finding my books, especially my earlier ones because words gets around.

She has set the stage for all of us. She has given us the wherewithal to tackle any task and expect results.
The language. I fifrmly believe in patwa as a language. When I go on the subway and hear other people speaking in their language, I feel glad I can talk fi mi talk to.

Miss Lou has been a guest on Jamaicans.com. Board nearly pap dung! Her place as a pioneer in promoting cultural pride through use of language is definitely unquestionable.

so not having read any other of ur books, i must ask this before i get them, have u remained consistent in style and content...from ur perspective that is ...not slamming another but i was disappointed in colin's second book as it was a major shift in his style in my opinion....
