the purpose is to unite all cultures together through reggae music. this year's theme is united against violence. therefore we chose conscious roots and culture artists to perform.
we have after parties for dancehall lovers at the medley

what i should explain is that at the festival the artists are not dancehall artists per say.
we are sending the dancehall artists along with other types at the medley.

This is a gigantic venture Lisa...for ANY country. How has the reaction been in Montreal [and area]? How many people are coming from elsewhere?

Is the support primarily from the Jamaican and West Indian community? OR is the interest crossing ALL cultural lines?

the reaction has been outstanding!
At 1st, the west indian community was a bit skeptical,as the community does have a reputation of falling through on some events.
this festival has been announced since feb this year and the momentum is increasing. the commercials have been airing since april and they should be on tv as of next next week

i am hosting the festival in both english and french along with prymtym who is the principal english speaking host

yardy...my new business up near Huntsville has me tied up EVERY weekend until November. I'm sorry to miss the Montreal event 'cause Miss Lucy would love to return to her former home...but I am needed [and committed to be] elsewhere.
