I have friends and family in the Little Bay area and have not been able to contact anyone. The information here has been most helpful and if anyone knows anything else please post. I am wondering about their homes. If anyone has any information on Annete Drummond, Mr. Brown and his home, Romie, Richie Rowe or the status of Joan Heimleichs home it would be greatly appreciated. Ok , I posted on another page I guess, I am new here to this chat but I can offer this information up again!Joans home is standing, richie's moms home is gone. Richie is fine and so is all of Little Bay people. Little Richie is fine and so is Sam. The road that goes infront of homers cove is gone. The sea is now there and no beaches. I have heard that the little bay beach is now gone as well. If you are at my place which is the Thatched roof home on the hill in homers cove you can see to brighten. All of the homes that were on the sea are gone. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]
Evette and her five kids and so many others have lost their homes and all that they did not get out. Steve's home is standing but debris in the yard is massive. Coconuts has extensive damage, Ms Ratt's home is damaged but Ipsie and Pearl and Cinthia's homes are still there. I spoke with them today and I am leaving here on Saturday to go to little bay. They are clearing the back road to get in and from what I understand that is going to be a huge task. They are all in shock over what a cat.5 storm looks like and feels like and everyone is greatful to be alive. From I born Sandy.....is what I hear from everyone..from I born I neva saw nuttin like this mon. It's as if a bomb has gone off.

newmexgirl, here is an e-mail I received from a friend.. "Just got off the phone with Mike Russell from Miami and he said that White
Sands is in great shape, just lost their favorite mango tree in front of
office and a lot of plants etc....he had received a call from Peter of the
Wild Thing and Peter said the west end was devasted, especially Tensing Pen
and the Rockhouse."

Does anyone have any information on Chippewa Village? it is right across from Idle Awhile. Tom from Canada has been trying to contact Peter from Wild Thing to find out the status there in NEGRIL. If anyone speaks to PETER could you ask him to call TOM or post a message as to the status there in Negril especially at Chippewa. We have no news here, and haven't been able to reach anyone in Negril.

newmexgirl...I hear White Sands is fine, indeed the beach homes/hotels/etc weren't damaged much at all...the west end is where the big waves mashed up a lot of businesses.

anything new on miyard ohliz. i heard on there earlier today that there was big dam,ge up there but nothing specific. Fortylegz is up on the cliffs and my friend tony a little further on at redground. I'm concerned for their safety in a big way as I have no idea whether either of them went to shelters or decided to hang tough. Knowing tony allot and 40 a little I fear both of them might have decided to stay with their homes rather than go somewhere safer.
