Hi there:

First of all congratulations on the continued success of Jamaicans.com. You have created a truly unique environment and, as a Jamaican who does not come into contact with other Jamaicans on a daily basis, it has really filled a gap for me.

I have four questions one visionary, two personal and the other about a somewhat controversial issue that has been discussed recently on the board.

1. What are your plans for Jamaicans.com? Where would you like to see it in say 3 - 5 years?

2. How do you manage to juggle it all...a full time job, running this site and being a devoted husband and father? Any tips to pass on to the rest of us who struggle with balance?

3. Lately there has been discussion about board members who engage in insults and put downs either on the board and via PM. What can we all do to minimize this kind of thing? Most moderators are absolutely superb and deserve our 100% commendation and support for their efforts. How do you handle the rare but tricky situation in which moderators break board rules and post material that some deem offensive or risque?

4. Finally, how has your faith in the Lord sustained you in the good times and the inevitable tough times?

XMan...You had a vision for this site that dates back to when you first began to put it all together. What was it and is it still on target?

Have you accomplished what it is you set out to achieve?

What are your objectives from this point?

1. What inspired you to build the website knowns as Jamaicans.com?

2. "Di Wife" (Mrs. Murphy) really put up wid a lot based on the time it takes for you to drun and maintain this site nuh chroo? Shi eva tell yu fi stop di foolishniss and focus on yu fam? 3. Have there ever been times when yu jus feel fi lock dung di Bulletin Board (as in get rid of it altogether) and just leave up the other pages of the site?

4. With regards to the site, what keeps u going?

5. Think u'll ever sell the site to someone else? (Tourist Board, etc...) Not just the domain name but all of it's contents.

1.However 'strong' you may expect your moderators to be, everyone has down times when they need a bit of extra support. Is that available, or are they made to feel that they have to leave their problems at the door?

With technology it is difficult to see where things are going so it is hard to plan more that a few months ahead. However it is always in the back of my mine. My main plans for Jamaicans.com is the same from the begining. To bring the community worldwide closer together. Now that we probably have the largest archive of content about Jamaica. You will see us moving more into activism/charity and feaures that will assist Jamaica and Jamaicans.

2. How do you manage to juggle it all...a full time job, running this site and being a devoted husband and father? Any tips to pass on to the rest of us who struggle with balance?

I don't know...no joke. I wonder somtimes. I have to say the grace of God, a supportive family and my line of work. I am a IT project manager so I have to know how to lead and plan. I always have a long list of things to do and check it daily (my Palm Pilot is my brian..dwl). I also try to have fun or do funstuff. Rumor has it a I take a "power nap" at lunch daily.

Great question. As this board has grown so has the diverse personalities. The community must police their online home along with the moderators and admin. It is very important that everyone works hand in hand. If someone is littering your street and you are a good neighbor you let him know that that type of behaviour is not acceptable. They key is to do things with gentleness and kindness. The recent voilations by both board members and moderators have been addressed. There have alway been guide lines for moderators and recently that has been updated.

4. Finally, how has your faith in the Lord sustained you in the good times and the inevitable tough times?

God works through people. The Jamaicans.com community are the people who he has worked through when the site had bad times. God also has blessed me with a very supportive wife who has allowed me to serve you all. Marcia was also one of the people that was provided much encourangement.
