XMan...You had a vision for this site that dates back to when you first began to put it all together. What was it and is it still on target?

The vision was to provide information on Jamaica and bring a little bit of Jamaica online to those who were either far away from Jamaica or never visited. As technology changed it allow for the vision to expand to having people meet online and focus on how we can make a better Jamaica.

Have you accomplished what it is you set out to achieve?

I would say the orginal vision to provide Jamaican information has been met. If it is not on Jamaicans.com we have a link to it from our links page. I measure it by how the emails for "where to find this" has declined over the years. As a Jamaican living abroad I was also proud to know that many Jamaicans in Jamaica use the information on this site a tool for reasearch etc.

What are your objectives from this point?

To continue to grow the content on the site, find ways to service the Jamaicans community online and offline and increase our charity projects. There are many areas I think that have been on tapped..

where did these different terms come from? DWL, BOAL, etc. etc....

Long before I was a member here I got an email with a whole page full of these abbreviations...i got quite a kick out of them.

Did u adopt some and mek up some with the help of memebrs or what?

Marcia and some of the other members on the old board (1996) came up with the terms. It is amazing to see it everywhere now.

1.What do you think of the CALLATHON that took happened a few weeks ago?

It was a great idea and it really invigorated the community.

2.How many people you called(yuh neva call mi at all )

I called 6 people (Canada, USA, England).
