And Marie has my toll free phone numbers (our businesses), so it's not a mere question of money for the calls. She obviously cannot get thru. If she could've done it, she'd have reached me by now, having (and having used, over time) all of my possible contact numbers:

my business phone #s (4 different phone #s for 3 diff businesses)
at least 5-7 different email addys
these boards
my cell phones (two - one for family & friends and one for business)

hi. i wonder if anyone can help me. I am trying to reach my uncle in hope wharf - i'm not sure how close it is to little bay but i remember someone mentioning little bay last time i was there. Has anyone heard anything from hope wharf?

I still have not sorted out how this board works , so having said that let me try to assure the people that I can that everyone in Little Bay and Brighton and Homers Cove are ok. Uncle Sam and Richie and Cudge and Annette all fine. The problem is that there is no current and their phones have lost their charges. I talked to Rasta Dillo yesterday and he assured me that there have been no deaths in that parish! The road from the ball ground past homers cove is gone. I am going there on saturday to do what I can to help. Jah Bless and Jah Guidance! Email me if you have any questions! I am new to board I say AGAIN...and I am not sure that I am using it to the best of it's power! Off to pack but checking in from time to time.

Does anyone know how bad the Lighthouse and The Caves were affected? I hope everyone in the area is safe and damage is not too bad or hard to repair.

My wife's mother (Nancy Farnsworth) was in little bay with Romie and his family. I have read the comments that Romie, Richie, and family our fine.

Looking for any information that I can get on how Nancy Farnsworth is doing.

Waitng to hear about Firefly and Secrets myself. Talked (email) with Nicola last Thursday and told her I would try again early this week. I guess Audrey's away on Vacation - where, I don't know. My trip down there does not begin until November 02.

I sent an email to Nicola as well last Friday but haven't heard back yet. Really didn't expect one real soon since I am sure they have no electricity. I am due to leave Oct. 22nd and am left wondering if they will be okay for guest anytime soon. Have you stayed there before.? This would be my first time and it is a suprise 5th wedding anniversary present for my husband. He has no clue how stressed out I have been and is probbaly wondering why I have been so intrested in this hurricane! LOL!

I have a freind attemtpint to reach the area of Broughton/Hope Warf, they can't get through yet. The last report she got from there was at 3am friday night, and trees were falling in yard. This is an area far away from the sea, just down the road from little Bay. If I hear she got through, I'll post in this thread..

Little Bay/Brighton summary: based on a number of reports I have received today, the damage there is extensive, and the roads are clogged with debris or are otherwise flooded out. I think if you have property you have to expect soem damage but some things are flattened and others are not. I also heard a lot of the Brighton fishermen lost their boats. Further down, towards Salmon Point, it is flooded and again, the road is full of debris. The race track outside Little Bay created some severe water runoff, really wrecking up the road there, which was one of the best in the area. There's very little food about--there usually isn't much anyway and the people don't keep much of a reserve in. I would guess it will be some time before the roads are clear of fallen trees, but even then they may not be passable with the water damage, which means our friends in BRighton/little Bay and Salmon Point are going to have to wait a long time for the water trucks.
