UPDATE: Reports coming out of St. Lucia indicate that the island's main source of water (John Compton Dam) was destroyed by Hurricane Tomas.
Persons residing in the area of Soufriere, were the worst hit and in one community with over 2,000 residents had to be evacuated.
There are 7 confirmed deaths and more than 14 people are still reported missing. Entire homes were buried in land slides and some areas are not accessible due to severe road damage.
