Effective Monday, the Bank of Jamaica (BoJ) will begin issuing a limited edition of commemorative 50 dollar bank notes. This is to mark the 50th Anniversary of the passage of the Bank of Jamaica Act which established the Central Bank.The bank notes will be suitable for all transactions as legal tender.The face of the commemorative note bears the portrait of National Hero Sam Sharpe and all other design and security features remain the same as on the existing $50 bank note.However, the BoJ's logo, printed in blue, with the words "50th Anniversary" and "1960- 2010" above and below the logo, respectively, will also appear on the face of the note.These commemorative $50 notes will circulate along with the regular $50 notes, which will not be withdrawn from circulation.http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fb...54909237885639
