OGNR understands that several foreign nationals who are now studying at the UWI Open Campus Site in the Bahamas have gone public about the conditions that they are experiencing there. Most of the students who are from all across the Caribbean and majoring in Tourism and Hospitality Management, indicated that the Security Conditions at their housing location is poor to non-existent. This they say has caused several incidents to occur which ranged from robberies to assault. They also lamented the fact that the sanitary conditions of the housing facilities left alot to be desired. They went further to say that the housing facilities were infested with cockroaches and other insects. Most of the students who spoke with the media indicated that they had tried time and time again to get the University Authorities to act, but to no avail. OGNR will continue to monitor this new development.
