The Westmoreland Police have released the names of two of four alleged gunmen who were shot and killed during a gun battle with police officers Friday night. They are Malik Heaven and Montaque Heaven, brothers from the Bath Mountain community in Westmoreland.Another man has only been identified by his alias "Green".It is reported that about 8:00p.m., a police team went into Bath Mountain in search of men said to be involved in a spate of robberies in the community.The police say the team spotted a car with six men aboard.Two of the men reportedly fit the description of the robbers they were in search of.However, when they attempted to intercept the car, the men reportedly opened fire.The fire was returned.The police report that four of the men jumped from the vehicle and ran in separate directions but were later found suffering from gunshot wounds.The men were taken to hospital where they pronounced dead.The driver of the car and another passenger managed to elude the police.However, the police believe that they were also shot.The shootout took place while the police were reportedly on patrol in the area which has seen an upsurge in robberies.
