The European Commission has announced that it is more than doubling cholera aid to Haiti. Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva said an extra $13.2 million dollars would be provided to avoid a "humanitarian crisis of unpredictable proportions" as the disease claims more victims.The EU had previously provided $12m.She said daily deaths from the epidemic were on the increase - based on last week's figures when they were 26 a day."It remains vital for all people to be able to get treatment," Ms Georgieva said.
