A preliminary enquiry is scheduled to commence Thursday into the case involving former Government Minister and People's National Party Spokesman on Agriculture, Roger Clarke, who is charged with causing death by dangerous driving. The matter will be heard in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court.Mr. Clarke, who is out on $250,000 bail, was charged in October following a ruling handed down by the Director of Public Prosecutions.St. Catherine resident Derron Nicholson died on August 23 when a Toyota Prado Land Cruiser Mr. Clarke was driving collided with his motorbike along the Nightingale Grove Road in St. Catherine.Mr. Clarke was heading towards Spanish Town, when he reportedly swerved his vehicle to the right hand section of the road and hit the motor bike.Mr. Nicholson suffered severe injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he died.
