Lawyers representing Tesha Miller, reputed head of the Spanish Town, St. Catherine based Klansman Gang, have filed a writ in court demanding his release. Miller was picked up last Friday by investigators from the St Catherine North Police Division who say he is under investigation for the theft of a motor car.His attorneys claimed he should be released or charged.Hearing of the writ was scheduled for Friday before Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey, but it was postponed until next Tuesday.Miller has been in and out of police custody since the start of the year.On May 31, he surrendered to the police after the High Command placed him on a list of alleged dons who were being sought for questioning during the State of Emergency.He was later released.He was charged with assaulting a policeman while in custody at the Kingston Central Police lock-up In July.
