A three-bedroom house in Windsor Castle, Portland collapsed during heavy rains on Friday. Roads in Heart Hill, Spring Bank, and Black Hill, in Western Portland, were also affected by flood waters.According to Patrick Barber, the house had been showing signs of instability since the completion of the North Coast Highway directly below it.He says he moved out of the house several months ago after he observed a noticeable shift in the building's foundation.He says he has since been in dialogue with the relevant Government authorities on the matter.The house broke in two during heavy rains on Friday, partially blocking the Highway below with silt and rocks. Meanwhile, a blocked concrete drain at Heart Hill, caused severe flooding along another stretch of the Highway with and there were land slippages in Spring Back and Black Hill.According to the National Works Agency, a technical team has been dispatched to examine the site of the collapsed house and clear all blockages.
