The eight policemen accused of refusing to cooperate with the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) in its probe of the shooting death of a 16-year old boy in Spanish Town, St Catherine, turned up at the Half Way Tree Criminal Court Monday morning to be charged.Defence attorney Peter Champagnie told RJR News that he took the policemen to court for warrants to be executed on them. However, he said the clerk disclosed that no files had been received in respect of the eight men."I indicated to the court that they were there expecting that they would be charged. They were directed to leave the premises until they are further notified. I understand an identification parade is to be held, we are to be told later about that," Mr. Champagnie said. When RJR News contacted Terrence Williams, Commissioner of INDECOM, he said he would provide an update later Monday afternoon.Last week, the Director of Public Prosecutions ruled that the cops should be charged for breaches of the INDECOM Act because of their refusal to cooperate with investigators probing the death of 16-year old Derrick Bolton.
