Sections of Porus in Manchester were on edge Tuesday afternoon following another fatal shooting of 26-year-old construction worker Gregory Pommels otherwise called "Squiddo" of the Red Berry community in Porus. The dead man's mother Anette Francis gave RJR News her version of events shortly after the shooting."About 1:30p.m. I saw a barrage of policemen leaving the Porus Police Station going up to Red Berry. I did not know what was the matter but about half hour later, I heard somebody say they dem kill Squiddo. I said kill Squiddo and dem say yes because a lady was robbed of her white car in Clarendon. The lady was there with the police when the dem hold up my son and the lady was saying no, no it's not them, it's not them (but) the police shot dem," said Mrs. Pommels.A large crowd converged near the entrance of the Porus Police Station demanding justice as they claim Mr. Pommels was killed in cold blood.This resulted in a traffic pileup.
