A fire at a residence at Robinson Avenue in West Port, St. Catherine early Tuesday morning, left one man dead and three others injured.According to the Spanish Town Police, three persons who were at the house were awakened by excessive heat and smoke about 3:30 a.m.They realised the house was on fire, rushed from the building and raised and alarm.Neighbouring residents went to their rescue.The three persons received multiple burn injuries and were taken to hospital where they were treated and kept for observation.The Waterford Fire Department responded and after the blaze was put out, the body of 46-year-old Sylvester Sheriff of Jona Pen in St. Mary, who was visiting relatives on the premises, was found in the living room of the house.The estimated loss is not yet available.
