An early Monday morning fire in Guyana has destroyed a building in which the local Liat office and two other visitor-related businesses were housed. The blaze destroyed a colonial wooden building in the capital, Georgetown, reducing to ashes the Liat office and those of Frandec Travel and Dragon Tours.Fire Chief Marlon Gentle says the cause of the fire is not yet known.He says however, that there was a report of a loud explosion.
