Organizers of Buju Banton's Before the Dawn Concert say they are expecting a packed house this evening in the first stage performance of the Jamaican reggae artiste who is now on drug and gun charges in the United States. Buju Banton whose real name is Mark Myrie, will be performing at the Bay Front Park Amphitheatre in downtown Miami, Florida. Two days ago, radio stations in Miami, were advertising that there were only 2,000 tickets left for the 6,500 capacity Bayshore Park Amphitheatre. However, latest reports indicate that tickets are now completely sold out. People have been arriving in Miami all week in preparation for this evening's concert, the first to be staged by Buju Banton since his legal troubles began in December 2009. Buju who has maintained his innocence on cocaine and gun charges is being supported by a host of Jamaica artistes including Shaggy, Tarus Riley, Wayne Wonder and Gramps Morgan. Last December a Florida jury failed to arrive at a verdict in the case against Buju and Judge James Moody then declared a mistrial. A retrial is expected to begin later next month.
