Hoodlums have defaced the sign at the recently opened Ian Fleming International Airport in Boscobel, St Mary. The airport was officially opened last Wednesday by Prime Minister Bruce Golding. Personnel at the airport turned up this morning to find what appeared to be a dark-oily substance smeared across the sign. Mayor of Port Maria, Richard Creary, has condemned the action of the hoodlums saying it was an act of disrespect not just to the Fleming family but to the people of the community and the parish. The sign has been taken down for cleaning and is expected to be remounted tomorrow. The Ian Fleming International Airport is Jamaica's third international airport.
