Eye screenings are to take place in Clarendon and St. Catherine between January 24 and 28, while screening for Portland will take place on Monday, January 31. St. Catherine eye screenings will take place on Monday, January 24 at the Greater Portmore Health Center, on Thursday at the Ewarton Health Centre, and next Friday at the Harkers Hall Health Center. In Clarendon, the sessions will take place next Tuesday at Lionel Town Hospital and on Wednesday at the Chapelton Hospital. Coordinator of the Jamaica Cuba Eye Care Programme Gregory Thomas says only three eye conditions will be addressed: Cataract, Pterygium, and Diabetic Retinopathy. He says children are not being treated under the programme.
