President of the St. Catherine Chamber of Commerce, Dennis Robotham says parish authorities will need to seriously reconsider installing surveillance cameras in key locations of the capital Spanish Town to assist the police with controlling crime. Police say intra-gang violence within the notorious Clansman gang has been responsible for the upsurge in murders since the start of the year. Mr. Robotham says the cameras have helped to enhance the fight against crime in other parishes. He says the police have been acting commendably in their efforts control major crimes in the Spanish Town and will continue to be supported by the business community.
