The police have identified the man who was killed when gunmen opened fire on a group of people on St. John's Road in Spanish Town Wednesday.He is 51-year-old Alfred Hibbert, otherwise called 'Doc', of Spanish Town.The police report that about 6 o'clock Wednesday evening three persons were standing at a stall on St. Johns Road when a green Toyota motor car pulled up.The occupants of the motor car alighted the vehicle, armed with high-powered weapons, and fired several shots.Mr. Hibbert and two other persons were shot.Mr. Hibbert died on the spot, while the other two were taken to hospital.And minutes before the shooting on St. John's Road, heavily armed men shot dead a man identified as Winston Hall while he was walking in the community of Willowdene.The police have linked the flare up of violence to a gang feud and continue to keep a close watch on Spanish Town and its environs.
