Opposition Spokesman on Finance, Dr. Omar Davies, is calling for more information on the withdrawal of a lawsuit by Gorstew Limited against the Government. On Tuesday, Prime Minister Bruce Golding announced that the Gordon 'Butch' Stewart led company, which is in the process of acquiring the Sandals Whitehouse Hotel, had dropped the multi-million dollar lawsuit.However, Dr. Davies believes more information is needed on the conditions attached to the withdrawal of the court action.He also wants to know what this will mean for Sandals Whitehouse."We certainly don't feel that it should have been put to the public as a complete deal with that matter outstanding and if it was such a controversial issue, especially from the point of view of Gorstew, it raises questions when a couple weeks later it was just dropped, presumably when we see the full details of whether there are any conditions to them being dropped or whatever," Dr. Davies said.
