The police in New York have made an arrest in the weekend shooting death of 26-year-old Jamaican Avalisa Morris.The suspect, 23 year old Mairs O'Neil, turned himself in to the police. He faces murder, weapons and reckless endangerment charges. Miss Morris was shot through the door of a house on 119th Road in St. Albans in Queens, New York, just after four o'clock Sunday morning. The shooting happened during a surprise birthday party that she was throwing for her friend.Witnesses say two men at the party began arguing, and were told to take the disagreement outside.Shots were fired through the closed door - hitting Miss Morris in the head and stomach. She died on the spot.
