A man, who is believed to be a major player in the cash-for-gold trade, in St. Elizabeth, was arrested by the police on Friday. The man, whose name has been withheld as he is still being questioned, was found in Santa Cruz, in possession of $150,000 worth of gold.According to the police, they were acting on information when they went to Main Street in Santa Cruz where the man was seen.He was searched and the gold found.The police have recently launched a campaign to rid the parish of persons operating the illegal cash-for-gold trade.It is believed that the trade has resulted in a recent spike in break-ins.
