If no one has posted, and the topic is within the time limit where the post may be edited (I think about 6 hrs) then the original poster can delete the thread.

If the time has elapsed then usually a request may be sent to the mod/admin via the notification feature. Deletion of posts are performed at the discretion of the moderator/administrator
