Soooooo curious mi even go check both mi profile n preferences before come ask

I don't have even the sending of newsletters enabled NOR di I have notification by email if I get a pm .. matta of fak I keep ablity to pm mi off n mi know it is bak Off ,since mi done mi convo re some knitting AND afta mi get fi know seh smaddy pm using a boardite moniker asking some ?s n wen mi enta di supposed sender's post in a forum n dem ignore me mi come to find dat di smaddy seh dem neva was di one who supposedly pm..so now di ongle way anyone can pm mi is in reponse to one I initiate...of course mi know di mods etc can sen in dem carrying out of duties

now widdin di lass 1/2 hr mi pm a one re sending a photo to dem email address n wen we done chat , the ENTIRE pm convo was sent to mi,.,dis is it as copied, of course wid my erasing di private bits... But it starts wid;

Let me try by confirming a few things. In the preferences section you have both these questions set to 'No' yet when you initiated a PM and received a response from your initiatd PM, an email was generated?

If those options were set and a PM was sent I do not know if there is a default that PMs are mailed to you that override the user set options. Maybe ChurchDude, Xavier or JKid may be able to address your issue.
