Windows 7 and this Damn Board

ok...a few months ago...i got a new laptop. Of course, it runs on Windows 7. EVERYTHING about that op system works fine for me...but the freaking log in on this board! I can log in, but as soon as i search for active topics or try to reply to something, it logs me right back out! Takes several log ins to finally stick....which by then, i've lost interest.

And forget it remembering your password...nah happen EVER.

now last week at work, i got a new computer, yes, it too has W7....and guess what? Same problem!


Will this board ever work right again?

I used to have the same problem and it somehow fixed itself. I'd have to login each time I selected a forum or tried responding to a post.

It may be an issue regarding how your browser is set to handle cookies. These settings can be easily changed.

Does it do the same thing when you use other browsers or is it just when you use one particular browser?

i don't use other browsers. tried firefox on my old machine...and hated it. so do tell milo...what's the easy fix?

I'm sitting here on windows 7 and have never had a problem. Well, except for some talking freekin ads playing over my music that I never can shut up.

Maybe it is your cookies?

same happening to me!

if i click on "community" i am still logged in

then i hit forum and i'm logged it

this is the only site that seems to lose my cookies

i think something is up with the login script - i know some other folks that can't log in at all - no matter how many password requests they get

totally agree seveen. tons of message boards all over the internet...this one never seems to work properly....and then we wonder where all the posters went.

One thing to check is the following...

When in Explorer go to preferences > Receiving Files > Cookies > select jamaican's.com and then under "when receiving cookies" select never ask then click OK. If this does not help then it is very likely the sort of problem Seveen outlined.

Windows 7 works fine for me here, so I'm not sure what the problem would be for those having connectivity issues.

Where might this &quot;preferences&quot; be in Windows 7?

I do not use Windows 7 but the preferences should be under the Explorer heading, upper left of the screen when you have Internet Explorerer launched.
