Past couple days I could not open most posts in General discussion. Right now it seems as if the Callathon thread has a virus embedded in it. If I click the link to the post then stonecliff url TRIES to load.... after that all other threads in General discussion taking forever to load or redirect to stonecliff url.

only work around is close out jamaicans.com (and avoid clicking on longer discussion threads)

Just quick update. I am still working on this. A few things were tried but they did not work. Based on what the forum developers saw it does not seem to be a virus but some malicious code. It is a trial and error until we beat this one.

That one is not new. It is all related. We are literally trying to go through as many files as possible to find out where the malicious code it. It is hard to pin-point the issue because it is happening everywhere but not easily duplicated. I have been working on it since we discovered and trying every angle. I am being told that it is not a virus but malicious code.

There seems to be some users not experiencing this redirect or freeze. Can you let me know if you have an advertisement blocker on your browser?

I would love to hear from user who are not experiencing the redirect. I would love to know if you have a advertisement blocker and what browser version you are using.

There are no advertisement blocker for me and am using firefox.

am seeing a <span style="font-style: italic">marked</span> improvement in speed which is GREAT.

but, still again i just got the &quot;cannot open internet site, operation aborted&quot; error - however, this time that did <span style="font-style: italic">not </span>result in redirect - i.e. it did not go to the stonecliff URL - also it did <span style="font-style: italic">not</span> hang the page - it remained active with no need to refesh to keep right on browsing/posting. so, a bit of improvement there too

also responded yo your PM, just repeating here to add as many replies as i can, testing to see if i can 'break it'

To find the source look no further than the ad that opens advertising Google money making programs.
What it does is to load a lot of other ads that will later operate independently of it. If you are able to block it,you will need to remove them.
Then the problem will be solved on the computers.
Now for the server, that will be a different approach.
