there's also writing in the green band at the very top MGee,

"culture", "travel", "recipes", "channels". they light up if you click them, but if you're a newby and don't know where to look, it would probably be a little confusing.

I think the breen should be darker.

Could even do a black background with either yt or yellow text.

thanks for that, peasie. i know that i'm not colour blind, lol.

i think the basic principle at question in the new design is that of &quot;contrast&quot;. the combinations of colours and their saturation are not being used to best effect in some cases. it could well be that in the mockup or early design stage the colour contrasts may have worked, but in the implementation, they did not. it happens frequently with print design.

uh, i yam confused. i got all these e-mails today announcing the 'new forum launch on August 6' (today) - but wasn't this already done days ago?

btw the 'blue' screen theme is exactly the same as the previous one, erything looks as usual to me once i changed back to the blue theme.

For anyone who has Windows 7, you can change the size of your whole screen by any percentage you like -(zoom control is at the very bottom right corner of your browser window). I have mine set at 125 or 130%, and even with the new forum upgrades, erything including font size, looks exactly the same for me -
