Why was Evanovitch's Thread Deleted?

She asked a legitimate question and I pointed out that it would be very easy to track down the person who sent the PM by doing a search for boardites who had used the phrase "po ting" in previous posts and matching the IP address of these posters with the IP address of the person who sent Evanovitch the PM. There were only 4 boardites who use that phrase in their posts.

Was the problem that I pointed this out or that I indicated what I had noticed about 3 of the 4 boardites? Isn't this a time for objectivity and impartiality no matter where the evidence points?

If a moderator sent that to Evanovitch, they should no longer be a moderator and they should get a strong warning.

I would think that the person should be removed from the site. Do you think people should be allowed to send nasty messages like that with no consequences? I do moderation myself and would immediately remove anyone who sent a message like that to someone.

Just my 2 cents worth.
