Sisters and Brothers
Please see the two attachments with information on the Jamaican
Diaspora
Conference, June 15 and 17, 2008. These apply to airfares,
accommodation and
conference fees. There is also a synopsis of the workshops and the
topics
they will cover. Do not hesitate to call should you need clarification
or
elucidation on any point.
Do feel free to circulate among your Jamaican contacts (the conference
is
open only to Jamaicans by birth, naturalization, marriage and those who
work
for Jamaican companies) and bear in mind that we are seeking sponsors
for
some of the young people of the Future Leadership delegation who will
need
assistance with fares and conference fees.
The registration form, with the $150 conference fee, and the $25 for a
package that includes a Jamaican Diaspora - Canada t-shirt ("Proudly a
Yardie") a JD-C pen, a JD-C badge, a JD-C nameplate, personalized with
each
delegate's name, should be returned to any of the people on the
attached
invitation.
Or, it can be brought to the meeting next Thursday (May, 15, 2008) or
Thursday, May 22, 2008, at The Jamaican Consulate 303 Eglinton Ave. E.
at
6:30 p.m.
We would like to have all forms and fees in hand by, or before, May 31,
2008.
NOTE:
Air Jamaica tells me they are having a web seat sale just out today May
7,
2008, which can only be purchased on their website, http://www.airjamaica.com
<http://www.airjamaica.com/>
