Sisters and Brothers
Just to reiterate a few important points:
Regardless of what is on the Diaspora Conference registration form,
please
make all cheques for registration, packages for the
conference and other fees payable to the Jamaican Diaspora Canada
Foundation.
This will enable the organization to draw one cheque for registration
fees
for the entire delegation, payable to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
and
Foreign Trade Jamaica. Naturally, if the cheques are payable to the
ministry, they cannot be deposited on the Foundation's account.
We are doing this to ensure that everyone is registered in advance and
to
avoid confusion when delegates arrive in Jamaica. Anyone whose cheque
is
made payable to Foreign Affairs cannot be registered until they arrive
in
Jamaica.
All but the Future Leadership delegates must book their own airline
tickets.
When a delegate has paid the registration fee to the
Jamaican Diaspora Canada Foundation, their name will be given to Air
Jamaica
and tickets can then be booked at the Diaspora rate.
Anyone staying in the Kingston hotels at the special rates offered,
will
have to take care of their own bookings. Numbers are on the letters
sent to
you from the JDCF, or on websites for the hotels.
Peace and love
