Theyr strategy is unique a sfar as policing goes. They finction in Jamaica as if blacks are a min9rity there. Jusy like the police acys against blacks wher they are the minority.
The doifference is that it worked when the country was a colony and UK coild declare marsgall law and massacar people to use fear yo keep them in line. That won't work, even if it is dpne by under the pressent circumstances, the Brits will later use it to threaten or remove any administration that does it.

Yes its a tough job,but the police themselves do very little to get the support of ordinary citizens,the force is institutionally corrupt,and a great many of them are criminals themselves,lets face it,.....some of them act like thugs,and treat ordinary citizens like dirt with their constant abuse of civil liberties.

They need to clean up their act,and stop seeing the uniform as a tool for bullying ordinary citizens and throwing their weight around.

Well,I would suggest that the citizens of that community are fearful of the kind of retaliation they know the police is likely to take in revenge for the murder of the policemen.
People in ghetto communities like rema are far too aware of the heavy handedness in which the police are likely to treat everyone in the community when one of their numbers are murdered,so condemning the murder is an attempt to distance themselves from the gunmen to protect themselves from the cops.

The police has lost the trust of the people,they themselves act no worse than the gunmen,some of them seem to not have a clue what policing is about,they are ill trained,ill disciplined,and there are far too many loose cannons in their ranks.

<span style="color: #660000">This is one of the few occasions that people from the so-called garrison communities have allowed themselves to express open remorse at the death of police personnel. Normally they would either claim police brutality, or there would just be silence.</span>
