There was pandemonium in the commercial district of Spanish Town in St. Catherine Wednesday night after gunmen invaded the bus park and sprayed bullets on commuters.
When the dust settled one man was dead and another battling for life.
However RJR News has since learnt that he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday morning.
Shortly after 7 o'clock a white Toyota Corolla motorcar drove up to the bus terminus.
Four men alighted and began firing shots.
Commuters and persons standing along Burke Road had to scamper for cover.
Others sought refuge at the nearby Texaco Gas Station.
It was later discovered that two men had been shot, one of whom died on the spot.
Up to late Wednesday night the body had not been identified.
The other man was taken to hospital in critical condition were he later died.
A large detachment of police and military personnel was deployed to the area shortly after the attack.
And the police were called to another section of the St. Catherine North Division Wednesday night following a robbery at a business establishment on Upper Brunswick Avenue.
One of several men who robbed a bar was nabbed by the police who were quick on the scene.
His accomplices managed to escape into bushes.
Our news centre was informed that an illegal firearm was taken from the man.
It has not been ascertained how much money his cronies stole.
