Jamaica Producers Group has made a major acquisition in Europe.
The company has announced that in keeping with its plan to grow its core juice business, it has purchased Holland's leading fresh juice and smoothie manufacturer, Hoogesteger Fresh Specialist.
The transaction is valued at 9.2 million euros.
Hoogesteger will continue to operate as a separate business unit.
Jamaica Producers said the acquisition is a first step in achieving a presence in Europe.
Hoogesteger employs 130 persons and has annual revenues of 32 million euros.
