Firsly im for detention, but based on reason.
secondly i believe that gang membership should be criminalized and be an offence punishable by death if that gang has commited grevious crimes.
thirdly, id like to add, yes im a jlp supporter, but only because of what i believe the pnp has done to the country.

i think golding is being too nice footed about certain matters and should have called a state of emergency.
im literally at the point where im thinking why dont they just ignore the opposition and ratify the necessary laws...TODAY.
The thing about dentention is there is time limit
after that timelimit then what? you going to release them again??.
I think we need to copy the rules of war on how militaries deal with the enemy combatants. Cuz lets face it, we are at war, even al queda has scrupples compared to these people.
I think a better strategy would be internment, this way you can lock off a certain zone, and slowly filter out the bad from the good with absolute impunity.
Golding is at a cross roads, either he becomes the bastard we need to deal with these problems head on, or we can just simply forget about jamaica and let it slowly become the next haiti. While leaders continue to play the talk game.

People will argue with me, because they know what needs to be done, but are afraid of what it might mean for them. But honestly there is a reason why places like singapore boast low crime rates. When they mean zero tolerance, you know you dont overstep the line.
I would also advocate lashing for all age groups.
