Jamaica also needs a Prime Minister who will take crime seriously, and not merely handle it like something fragile that they are afraid to break...

Peter Phillips former dread locks, JC Old Boy-same form with Bruce Golding, now a paunchy and unlocksed bright guy and Mike Manley progeny.
Seems not to know that the NEC`s delegation is more in emotional favour of Portia Simpson-Miller. Also seems not to know that Portia is deep into her status as party president and thinks that she as such is entitled to be president indefinitely until death or old age takes her down. After all, all those before her served as president for quite a number of years. So why not she.

In Jamaica there was a successful football team named Hazzard FC from Clarendon. After internal squabbles reduced the team to a division of members the Hazzard FC became what is now Portmore United and the what was left was called Original Hazzard.

Well, the PNP looks to be going the same direction. Soon we`ll be having Original PNP led by team Portia and some soon to be newly named offshoot led by renegading so-called intelectuals led by Phillips and his solid as a rock(sock) team.

This is surely not good for the party, but if they want to fight among themselves and create internal divisions, then so be it... I believe that Peter's move to dethrone Portia was a bit pre-mature and too soon after her defeat at the polls. The fact that his move was seen as somewhat less than respectful towards the incumbent, doesn't help the situation either...
