Quite a few of them maintain significant ties with India, marrying women from India, using Indian store clerks, etc. A number of them are illegal aliens, some of whom take advantage of a corrupt immigration system.
Until recently, their businesses were almost exclusively Indian, or I should say Hindu (since that fact is common among them), and they even intimated threats that they wanted to destroy non-Hindu businesses in Ocho Rios, fortunately they did not succeed, and I've noticed more non-Hindu involvement in their Shopping centers.
As you can see from the facts I've stated above, Hindus keep their earnings among themseleves, even within Jamaica. I suppose they have the right to determine how they use their money, but it's just that Jamaica may not be the primary beneficiary, if at all.</span>
