With the presidential elections for the Peoples National Party's top job just over a month away, the Party's spokesman on Health Dr. Fenton Ferguson has endorsed the candidacy of Dr. Peter Phillips. Dr. Ferguson went public at the North West Manchester constituency conference held at the Mile Gully High School in Manchester on the weekend.
According to Dr. Ferguson, the PNP is faced with difficult decisions at this time.
"Comrades it is no disrespect to the president of our great party it is about taking tough decisions in tough times...and I know that the candidate has authorized me that anywhere I go and everywhere that I have influence that I must solicit the delegates to make sure that on September 20 that you vote for the arise and renew team," he said.
Member of Parliament for the constituency Dean Peart who is also the party's spokesman on Local Government and who supported Dr. Omar Davis in the last presidential race also publicly endorsed Dr. Phillips.
According to Mr. Peart the winner of the election should be someone who can move the country forward.
For his part <span style="font-weight: bold">Dr. Phillips warned against an attitude of intimidation he says is creeping into the party. </span>
