Former Air J executive to be back at the helm of the airline

Bruce Noble, the former President of Air Jamaica is being tipped to return as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the airline.
<span style="font-weight: bold">Mr. Noble, who headed Air Jamaica while it was under the control of the Butch Stewart-led Air Jamaica Acquisition Group,</span> AJAG, is reportedly in discussion with the airline to take up the CEO position.
He left Air Jamaica shortly before it was returned to government ownership four years ago.
RJR News understands that he will be interviewed by Air Jamaica's Board of Directors on Wednesday.
The Board has until Wednesday afternoon to select a CEO in keeping with instructions from the Ministry of Finance.
The mandate was issued last month after Canadian airline executive Edward Weigel declined his appointment as Air Jamaica's CEO.
Mr. Weigel, who was slated to take-over on September 1, said his decision was based on personal reasons.
Last week, Air Jamaica's Chairman Shirley Williams said the airline was eyeing three persons for the post of Chief Executive Officer.
She expressed confidence that a new appointment would be made by on Wednesday as scheduled.
