I am aware of the USA welfare argument but I am concerned about Jamaica for this post. How many posters here have three or more kids? I bet way less than half. How many on here live in Jamaica and / or know first hand the realities of the clinics before school re-opens? Do you think even 1/2 the houses in Jamaica with three or more kids have a computer?

I am aware that Govt and Corporations mismanaged and pollute the resources, eg converting farmlands into housing schemes and improper disposal of waste, but that maybe nothing compared to the additional dangers children will be further exposed to.

Cheap labour, fodder for war, raw material and security / collateral for the debt govt assumes are indeed some of the reasons why this Act would never get passed. Heny Ford said &quot;It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a revolution before tomorrow morning.&quot; I believe this applies to any country with a &quot;central&quot; bank, and most every country has one. For the deplorable condition that some children get born into you would think ppl would see it as an outrage and take action to end to it. Adolf Hitler is alledged to have said &quot;What good fortune for governments that the people do not think.&quot; A pity.

I refer to ppl with 3 or more children. If govt is not concerned about your sex oragans why is your offspring the property of the state? Best not be giving the state stuff for free.
Sterilization may arguably be one of the best form on contra - ception. Should be obvious why. I said nothing about Eugenics or any form of selective reproduction. And abortion is not immoral to everyone and even then there are different circumstances ppl find it so.

Pray tell the cause of poverty and disenfranchisement so we can get started on it. Children are a major drain on a person's wealth / resources and has left many, especially females, disenfranchised. If a person has so many kids to the point he / she needs other ppl to care for them, is it so difficult to see that person has more than they can manage and need not take on anymore? Hmmm.

I wonder when the govt will ever have so many job openings to the point it could make it MANDATORY for ppl to work. Oh, btw I know no one who is ever too tired for good sex ........ maybe for too tired for more.

Rubbish again!! What if these children are NOT the result of CASUAL SEX [you implied that casual sex is the cause of these poor children being born], but rather children produced in a lawful marriage, and unfortunate financial circumstances like the loss of a job, death in the family, major illness etc occur? Do they NOT warrant your scorn similar to those other children that you sound as if you HATE VENONOUSLY?

....also remember, A person can have only ONE (1) child and still find it an economic burden.

Where do you live? There are more jobs in abundance than you can begin to imagine...point is they are FROZEN...Ever go to any public institution like hospitals, post offices, and see the amount of empty windows, dirty floors, and long wait for starters? Ever see so many dillapidated government housing with broken elevators, dirty floors, broken windows etx etc etc? (extending this to countries that has a very active welfare programme, and since the problem of poorer children is not germane to Jamaica.)


Some of these people that you despise, could be utilised productively and given ON THE JOB training to fix some of these problems, repair broken buildings, leaky roofs, clean dirty streets and be MANDATED to earn their keep while on the government's dole.


Government has MORE THAN enough but their priorities are mixed up, they waste millions with NO acountability to the people. [for eg tourist advertisement that they pay a FOREIGNER over half a million dollars for consultation, and the joke is, our tourism is still not up to snufff !!]
