State Minister in the Ministry of Mining, Laurence Broderick said the government is looking at ways to <span style="font-weight: bold">rehabilitate mined out lands.</span>
Mr. Broderick said there are ample lands in Manchester and St. Ann laying waste and could be used for farming and forestry development.
He said his Ministry will also be looking to build new townships which will create new jobs, homes and businesses.
He was speaking on Friday at the official opening of the National Industry Trade Show and Exhibition which is part of a week of activities commemorating National Minerals Week.
