Much of the same as was before. The civil service however is not making it any easier on the Golding admin with their wage claims that the Govt cant afford to raise, unless the debt ratio widens. Considering they bet more money to borrow since Jamaica produces nearly absolutely nothing except thugs.

Re: Government In Jamaica
My question to you Mr Q, is this. Can the civil servants pay their mortgage es without getting the increase they are demanding?
I notice that nobody is writing about the high percent of supposedly middle class workers that can't pay their mortgage although they have afull time job. What should these people do? As far as I am concerned I have been alluding to this for years. I stated some 10 years ago that Jamaica is not low income economy since the cost of living in Kingston is as high as many developed countries. People have to be able to keep a roof over their heads. They can only do that by working a honest bread. Their employers have to pay them, or the economy will implode. That is what Jamaica is facing today. They have artificially reduced taxation to the point where it can't even support the social services required for a civilized society. This flat tax and enormous excise taxes is going to be the catalyst for the Jamaican civil war.mark my word. Those who think that they are saving by saving on paying taxes are living in a fools paradise. since no amount of private security will be able to support civil society in the very near future. I just hope i am not ther when it start. <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Originally Posted By: Q3210</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Much of the same as was before.
