You can borrow from the IMF and make it , but the most devastating mistake most debtor countries make is to accept the dictates of the IMF believing it is in their interest.
The IMF was never set up nor does it operate to improve the economic position of developing countries. It was set up to continue the status quo. That is to keep the developing countries as supply colonies of the developed countries. That mean unless they are economically weak they may get ideas like OPEC and decide to form cartels to demand livable process for their goods supplied. Well how you think they developed countries would feel,? better yet how would they act in concert?

Can you name one country that have made it? I have only known one to have repaid and he'd survived coup, assassination attempt and what not.Comment

All the hype about Brazil economic is only benefiting the few light skin. The IMF now owns the Amazon of Brazil. They haven't provide social service and education to the poor which is over 80%. They have the largest black population outside of Nigeria and are still holding some as slave on white mega farms i.e was in the news last year. I bet you every blacks there want to leave and none would wants to emigrate there.Comment
