A copy of a public-health document gleaned by The Sunday Gleaner confirmed that some water trucks are "harnessing drinking water from untreated and unlicensed sources".
"There is an increase in the number of water trucks using untreated water sources to supply the public. With the intensity of drought conditions in the Corporate Area, a number of water trucks are refusing to join the long line at NWC (National Water Commission) or refuse to pay the cost," read a section of the public-health report. </span>
