Cars are dangerous things too. The USA is not the only country in the world it is not even the country with the most liberal gun laws, on the other hand Jamaica is one of the most violent and dangerous countries in the world with a very ineffective security and investigative apparatus.

Some Jamaicans feel they need weapons to protect and to repel attackers, if they are not afforded legally then they will continue to obtained and held illegally, it is as simply as that.
