belly projects, put incompetent party hacks in charge of state
enterprises, demonise the creators of wealth, socially elevate being poor as a good thing rather than encourage enterprise, basically as Evanovich put it make the reason detra of government as wealth distribution ratehr than wealth creation then distribution.

"suffra," became the calling card to explain bad behaviour... I am sure Lenin would have written a rationalisation of using anti- social elements to further the cause of socialism.... He certainly rationalised the suspension of rights of citzens to the processes of law. But then for the most of history the process of laws was denyed to the majority in Jamaica... The SOE was simply formalise the poliisation of the police... In fact it is interesting that Adams joined the JCF duringthis period.

Well in the end t the entrapauers were chased to Miami and now their children post fawt about a period their own parents ran from.... (Whythe hell was apples confiscated from vistors at the airport ???) . .
People were harassed and harangued, based on difference, be it skincolour, poltical postion. (How many people ever saw coolie man and chiney man being insulted for running a little shap...as exploiters ???) Well they in the end made it black man time...

It was actually in this period that we deconstructed the economy... I then hear people on here going on about socialism and we need more of that::::: for another country or successful economy... And then rationaisle the bullies, thieves and killers were not really socialist.. Well when a socialist thief he is a socialist....

And those who wernt there never wathced the destruction of our selfs into parodies of failures.... Socilist interlectual pen dragons .... At the heart was teh attempt to force us into a mold that did not fit the last attempt was the SOE...

On a more personal note.... As my formative years were done during
these times.... I had a very insecure existence, being ostrasised,
being threatened was a near constant occurance. It si amusing now to
think back to the times when people who had more than we had come and
tell us me I was exploiter of "Suffera" and we would be sent back to
where we were from. Now reconcile that with the fact I claim Taino
heritage.

The fact of the matter these socialist impoverished the concept of
being African in Jamaica.. the use

We had our own self made demons like the FIU, Finance Inteligence Unit that restricted freedom of carriage.
Yes, we made out entrepeneurs as exploiters of the poor Blackman.
Yes we made out wrong to be good, because if yu Black and poor, yu nuh did know better, so therefore give low life a chance.

....and after all that we have yet a workable model to emulate, whether it be home grown or imported.
Singapore`s leader visited Jamaica in the 60s and emulated the Jamaica of that time, went and used the Jamaica model and made Singapore what it is today, where labour has to be imported.
Today in Jamaica we import labour too but for different reasons.
Singapore`s people were seen as the primary resource and were crafted by education to be artisans, scientists and people of high regard.
In Jamaica down to the labourer is un-skilled and because of that Chinese labour was brought in to build the Trelawny fiasco of a multi-million stadium at Greenfields.
We have failed to make our people prime resources...after all that we have from the after-shocks of the 70s.

...and after all that, DK Duncan who was part of the 70s wagon is now running as a candidate in East Hanover for the PNP of course.
Yet under PJ Patterson, he was no where to be found.
Thanks to these experimentalists Jamaica is as dead as Maurice Bishop in terms of political culture and we dont know it.
At least `small islands` like Grenada have long passed what we are grovelling to not bury and move on to real progression that has taken most of the developing countries beyond. Meanwhile the sunny beaches of Jamaica remains still, one of our only paradises.
...and after all this the young men dig their hand middles and roll their spliffs and smoke away into continuous oblivion and others attend church and by so doing alleviate the suffering.

"We`re about to build a new Jamaica......" was a song of hope and inspiration I think during and after Independence.
We lost it in the 70s especially after 31 years of shame-state of emergency unresolved.

ah the good old happy native as told by ....I guess she is a suffera too.... Jamaica broilers association was actually one of the few insitutions that made a profit.... But then you had to be a socialist to get ah contract..... Her former father in law was a suffera but he long took the leap up by his own devises. So if your fatehr in law is a suffera that makes you a suffera by association.See her attitude is like all the do gooder socialists condesension,stupid cliche... given em socialism and paradise will arrive..

The best description of rural poverty in St Ann I have ever seen writen was in Rita Marleys biography... And even then she and bob was getting small royalty checks so they wernt ... It may not be teh best writen book and it is filled with self delusional dribble but it does capture a hell of a lot of attitudes of actually being poor......

Aloun ASSamba the one before Hanna, once said with pride 2 or 3 years ago that a maginficent achievement was of her making.
Establishing a postal agency in one of the villages of SE St. Ann.

So like Harry Douglas over in St. Mary who gave away `big breed goats` in prior election campaigns, Lisa Hanna is following in true PNP style by giving away baby chicks to the humble people of SE St. Ann.
Wow! Those People must be counting their luck for such greatness from one so young and beautiful.

actually it's stranger now that you think he isn't...i was actually shocked to find that his father was white as well...because he certainly looks far more black than white...& white comes from black so that makes him black in my book...
i don't think bob ever met his father & grew up as a regular black jamaican of his demographic would...
